Anna Griffin hit a go-ahead two-run double, and Hallie Wacaser a added three-run home run as West defeated Heritage in 7A-West Conference play Tuesday at the Wolverine Athletic Complex.
Kayla Paulo's two-out RBI single and a West error allowed Heritage (9-4, 2-2) to take a 2-0 lead in the second, which lasted until West (13-3, 3-0) scored five times in the third. Honestly Holt had an bases-loaded sacrifice fly, then Griffin belted her double to give the Lady Wolverines a 3-2 lead before an error allowed two more runs to score.
Wacaser made it an 8-2 game with her blast, her fifth of the season, then Jazmine Dodd added a two-run single in the fifth.
Emma Wood pitched the full seven innings and finished with a four-hitter while striking out 10.
