Memorial recital

Houston organist Bryan Anderson will give the 15th annual concert "Celebrating the Life of Robert Young Ellis" (late professor of organ at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, 1952-1987), 8 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, 800 Scott St., Little Rock. The program: Choralfantasie uber "Wie schoen leucht' der Morgenstern" by Max Reger; "Divertimento" from Four Extemporizations by Percy Whitlock; Anderson's arrangement of Two Etudes for Feet by Henri Alkan; Deux Esquisses by Marcel Dupre; and Suite, op.5, by Maurice Durufle. Natatorial comedy

Bike festival

Ride one of the first mountain bike trails in the state at Ozark Mountain Bike Festival, Friday-Saturday at Devil's Den State Park, on Arkansas 74 near West Fork. The 30th annual mountain bike festival includes scheduled bike rides, workshops, a skills course, friendly competitions and a Saturday evening social. Admission is free. CALS Con

The Central Arkansas Library System's fifth annual CALS Con, 9 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Main Library campus, 100 Rock St., Little Rock, celebrates "all things fandom," including a lineup of fan panels, workshops, games, crafts and cosplay sessions. A cosplay contest is set for 5 p.m. at the Ron Robinson Theater, 100 River Market Ave., followed at 6 by the Cosplay Ball in the theater arcade. A complete schedule is available at cals.org. Spa City shenanigans

The Cigar Box Men, a Broadway-style show "about wild and exciting days in the history of the Hot Springs area," features Roxanna Collingwood, Clyde Adams, the Fun City Men's Chorus of Hot Springs and Little Rock's Top of the Rock Chorus, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Woodlands Auditorium, 1101 Desoto Blvd., Hot Springs Village. Piano recital

Pianist Norman Boehm, on the music faculty at Hendrix College, will give a recital at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall, Fine Arts Building, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, 2801 S. Pilgrimage for Peace

A coalition of ecumenical faith and community organizations is organizing the fifth annual Pilgrimage for Peace 2018, 2 p.m. Sunday, with walkers gathering in the circle outside Heifer International Village, 1 World Avenue, Little Rock.

Participants will pass the Clinton Presidential Library and the River Market and cross the Arkansas River via the Junction Bridge to the Beacon of Peace and Hope, 120 Riverfront Drive, North Little Rock. There, walkers and others will gather for a 3 p.m. Remembrance Service to "mourn the violence committed in our community, nation, and world, and to walk together as active peacemakers."
