Two hit rock bands from the 1970s and 1980s, REO Speedwagon (with special guest Don Felder) co-headline a concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday at North Little Rock's Verizon Arena.

Styx, with hits such as "Lady," "Babe" and "Mr. Roboto," will open this concert. REO Speedwagon's hits include "Keep on Lovin' You," "Keep the Fire Burnin'" and "Can't Fight This Feeling."

Tony and Pulitzer-winning Angels in America playwright and screenwriter Tony Kushner will conclude a daylong visit to Hendrix College at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday with "A Conversation With Tony Kushner," an onstage interview with Hendrix faculty member Jay Barth, in Staples Auditorium at Hendrix, 1600 Washington Ave., Conway.

Ocasion-al show

Santiago, Chile-based musical troupe Teatro de Ocasion (singer Maria Fernanda Carrasco, percussionist Alvaro Saez and guitarist Cesar Espinoza) will give three performances this week at the Arts Center of the Ozarks, 214 S. Main St., Springdale, under the auspices of the Walton Arts Center's Colgate Classroom Series:

Architecture lecture

The building committee of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock's Windgate Center of Art + Design -- Tom Clifton, dean, UALR College of Arts, Letters, and Sciences; Mia Hall, director, Penland School of Crafts; Floyd Martin, UALR professor of art history; Carey Roberson, chairman, UALR department of art and design; and John Greer, principal/vice president, WER Architects/Planners -- will take part in a panel discussion about the building, 6 p.m. Tuesday at the center, UALR, 2801 S. Waltz With Bashir

The Central Arkansas Library System will screen Waltz With Bashir, Israeli filmmaker Ari Folman's autobiographical animated film depicting his search of the lost memories of his experience as a soldier in the 1982 Lebanon War, 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Ron Robinson Theater, 100 River Market Ave., Little Rock. Blues-based poet

Blues-based poet Arthur Flowers, associate professor of English and creative writing in the master of fine arts program at Syracuse University, will perform "Hoodoo Lords of the Delta: Practice, Pedagogy, and Prophecy," 11 a.m. Friday in Arkansas State University's Carl R. Reng Student Union auditorium, 102 N. Caraway Road, Jonesboro. The performance is part of the university's 24th annual Delta Symposium, "Discovering the Region's Voices," Wednesday-Saturday. Murry's auditions

Summer art camps

The Arts Center of the Ozarks, 214 S. Main St., Springdale, is offering five one-week art classes for ages 6-14, 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m.:

• June 11-15: "Art Outdoors," creating art from nature, including cyanotypes (sun prints), scavenger hunt mobiles and land art sculptures, plus an exercise in Plein air painting.

• June 18-22: "Hippie Modernists," '60s and '70s-style colors and concepts.

• June 25-29: "Paint Superpower," learning to draw and paint cartoonlike superheroes and heroines.

• July 9-13: "Street Art," learning about street art and creating a mural on the ACO building.

• July 16-20: "Clay and 3D Creations," building functional and sculptural ceramic art and learning about hand-building methods to create 3-D sculptures from recyclable materials and art installations.

Students can sign up for one session or all-day. Students taking both sessions should take a lunch. Price per week is $75 for one session, $120 for both (supplies included). Improv camps

Second City Training Center will hold two-weekday Summer Improv Camps for students 11-14 and 15-18, 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. weekdays. July 9-20, at Fayetteville's Walton Arts Center, 495 W. Dickson St. Middle school students will focus on improv, writing and storytelling, clowning and physical comedy and theater arts and crafts. High school students will focus on improv, sketch comedy, stand-up and storytelling. At the end of camp, students will present a show for their family and friends.

Registration is $785 until May 7, $850 thereafter. Fees don't include lodging or food. Visit the website, waltonartscenter.org.

There will also be a weeklong adult intensive training session, 6-9 pm July 9-13. Fee is $300.
