France, Allday lead Missions past Nats

SAN ANTONIO — Ty France doubled and singled twice, driving home three runs as the San Antonio Missions topped the Northwest Arkansas Naturals 9-1 on Monday.

Forrestt Allday doubled and singled twice with two runs for San Antonio.

San Antonio had a pair of big innings in the blowout victory, scoring four runs in both the third and fifth innings.

In the third, France hit an RBI single, bringing home Fernando Tatis, while France hit a two-run double in the fifth.

San Antonio right-hander Cal Quantrill (1-1) picked up the win after allowing one run on four hits over five innings.

Opposing starter Foster Griffin (1-1) took the loss in the Texas League game after allowing four runs and five hits over 2 2/3 innings.
