Brother shot at car, woman, 21, reports

A vehicle with three occupants, including a baby, was shot at Monday evening in Little Rock, police said.

It happened around 6:55 p.m. in the 2100 block of Labette Manor Drive, according to a report from the Police Department.

A 21-year-old woman said her brother called her, noting that he could see her as he traveled in a vehicle behind her gold 2004 Chevrolet Impala.

When the woman looked in her rearview mirror, the brother pointed "an unknown object" at her vehicle while hanging out of a window, police said. Three or four gunshots were reportedly heard a short time later.

The woman then traveled to a police substation on the city's northwest side as her brother, a passenger traveling with two other people in a gold 2004 Toyota Avalon, followed, authorities said.

At the substation, the 21-year-old said her brother was mad at her because she wouldn't let him have her vehicle, according to the report.

Dispute over bike lands man in jail

A man accused of punching a North Little Rock woman in the face Saturday and taking a bicycle he had sold her has been arrested, police say.

About 8:30 a.m., officers were called to a disturbance at a home in the 1400 block of West 11th Street, a report states.

The 46-year-old victim told police that William Earl Miller, 40, had showed up at her house yelling and cursing about a bicycle. When she asked him to leave, she said, he punched her in the face, entered her home, took a purple bicycle and fled east on West 11th Street.

Two witnesses -- a 12-year-old boy and a neighbor -- told police that they saw the incident. The victim said Miller had sold her the bicycle for $45 about a week earlier.

Officers searched the area and found Miller, who said he punched the woman and took the bicycle, the report states. He added that the bicycle was his and he was trying to get it back. He also told police that the woman's boyfriend had tried to run him over with a minivan on West 16th Street.

A witness said he saw a man drive onto the sidewalk while trying to run Miller over. Police named the boyfriend in the report but did not find him at the scene, and he did not appear in the Pulaski County jail online inmate roster Tuesday.

Miller, who lists a Little Rock address, was being held at the Pulaski County jail in lieu of $2,500 bond Tuesday.

Driver fired 2 shots, woman in NLR says

Police say gunshots were fired in an act of road rage in North Little Rock on Thursday.

Around 4 p.m., an officer was called in reference to a disturbance with a weapon in the area of the Taco Bell at 3900 McCain Blvd., according to a report from the Police Department.

A 27-year-old woman said she had just left Kroger and was driving east on McCain Boulevard with a 25-year-old passenger when she noticed a vehicle following close behind.

The woman then pumped her brakes to get the vehicle to back off, at which point its driver pointed a black handgun at her from a window, the report states.

Authorities said the driver fired two shots into the air and "began to twirl or shake the handgun" in the woman's direction.

According to the report, the 27-year-old Jacksonville resident said the driver sped up and moved in front of her near Taco Bell on McCain Boulevard and eventually took the U.S. 67/167 exit toward Little Rock.
