Boyfriend accused of threats, assault
Police arrested a Sherwood man accused of threatening to shoot his girlfriend and kill her cat Friday, according to a Sherwood police report.
Chad Reinier, 42, reportedly broke his girlfriend's cellphone and threatened to shoot her in the leg, police said. When the woman managed to get away, she crashed her car into a wooden fence, according to the report.
She then ran to a neighbor's trailer and called the police. Reinier left the scene, but an officer found him hiding in trees near the trailer, according to the arrest report.
Reinier reportedly told the officer, "I shouldn't have run, and she just got crazy," police said.
The woman had bruises and swelling, according to the report.
Reinier was taken to the Pulaski County jail, where he remained Friday night on charges of false imprisonment, terroristic threatening, interference with emergency communications, criminal mischief and domestic battery. He has a June 19 court date.
Shooting damages two homes in LR
Multiple shots were fired at a Little Rock home Thursday night, which caused a man to be struck by glass and left another residence damaged, authorities said.
Officers responded about 9 p.m. to an address in the 2500 block of South Battery Street, according to a report from the city's Police Department.
A 25-year-old resident said he opened the front door after hearing banging and saw someone he believed to be his cousins' guest on the porch. He reportedly heard multiple gunshots a few minutes later.
The man told police that his cousins had gotten into an altercation with several people and had told him not to open the door for anyone.
A bullet hole was found in the side of a nearby home, but a 58-year-old resident said she was not there at the time of the shooting, police said.
The gunman was described as black, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with brown eyes and short black hair. He was wearing red shorts but no shirt.
Man says woman shot pepper spray
A North Little Rock man told police that a "belligerent" woman who was waiting for him at his vehicle pepper-sprayed him in the face Thursday morning, a report states.
An officer was called to a home in the 300 block of West 16th Street about 6:30 a.m. to investigate a disturbance.
The 30-year-old victim told police that he went to his vehicle and found a woman he was acquainted with because of his brother in front of his home. When he spoke to her, she became "very belligerent," according to a report from the Police Department.
The woman pulled out a pepper-spray canister and sprayed the 30-year-old in the face before fleeing, the report states.
A 32-year-old suspect was named on the report but was not listed on the Pulaski County jail's online inmate roster Friday.
6-stranger attack reported at LR park
A man told police he was beaten and robbed by six strangers in a Little Rock park Wednesday night.
The 54-year-old victim was walking through MacArthur Park, 601 E. Ninth St., around 11:30 p.m. when a stranger approached him asking for money, according to a report from the Police Department.
After he told the stranger that he only had a debit card, the assailant began punching him. The victim said he tried to fight back, but five more people appeared and punched and kicked the man until he stopped resisting.
The 54-year-old's cellphone and wallet -- which contained a debit card and an identification card -- were stolen and the robbers fled, according to the report.
The man then walked to the River Market District to report the crime.
Driver's $400 taken after LR car crash
A man was robbed of $400 Wednesday after his car was backed into on a Little Rock road, authorities said.
The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. as the 32-year-old victim was driving on Green Mountain Drive, according to a report from the Police Department.
A red Ford Mustang backed up "in the middle of the road" and hit the front of his vehicle, he told police. The driver then got out and reportedly asked the victim: "Do you have insurance?"
When the Little Rock resident pulled out his wallet, the stranger said, "Give me $20 and we will call it even," the report states.
The assailant then reached into the victim's vehicle and took $400, authorities said. The victim told police that when he began struggling with the robber, a passenger in the Mustang reached into the 32-year-old's vehicle and grabbed a small bag that contained Xanax pills.
That passenger reportedly pulled up his shirt to show he had a gun and said, "Don't get killed."
According to the report, the two got back in the Mustang and headed south on Green Mountain Drive.
