w Dr. Adebayo Fasanya, board certified in internal and pulmonary medicine, is now seeing patients at Sparks Clinic Lung Center inside Sparks Regional Medical Center at 1001 Towson Ave. in Fort Smith. He also specializes in critical care medicine and will treat patients in the Intensive Care Unit at Sparks. He earned his medical degree at Saba University School of Medicine in the Netherland Antilles before completing a residency in internal medicine at Atlantic Health System in Summit, N.J., and a fellowship in pulmonary/critical care at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburg, Penn. Fasanya earned certification in medical humanities from Drew University in 2015.

w Joni Farmer recently was named director of physician recruitment for Washington Regional Medical System. Farmer, who joined Washington Regional last year as patient experience and physician recruitment specialist, will continue to have oversight of the patient experience program. Farmer earned a bachelor of arts in communications at the University of Arkansas and a bachelor of science in medical technology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She has achieved certification as a medical technologist by the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

w Max Mahler, financial consultant with Wells Fargo Advisors in Fayetteville, was recognized as a 2018 Top Next Generation Advisor by Forbes magazine. Mahler has seven years of experience in the financial services industry. He holds a bachelor's degree in finance and a master of business administration from the University of Arkansas. He earned the rank of certified financial planner from New York University.

w Linda Vigil was named director of business development for Village on the Park Bentonville at 3800 S.W. Mount Carmel Drive and Village on the Park Rogers at 2200 W. Laurel Ave. Vigil spent the majority of her 35-year career in the senior housing and health care industry. She holds a bachelor's degree in business and a master's degree in gerontology. She is a certified assisted living administrator and a certified dementia practitioner.

w Dr. Patrick M. McGowan joined FirstCare Family Doctors Springdale, 1109 S. West End St. He earned a bachelor's degree in human biology from the University of Kansas, a master of public health and a doctorate of medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, and his medical degree at UAMS Northwest before completing his residency in family medicine at Palmetto Health and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. McGowan is board certified in family medicine.

w Dr. David Foscue, family medicine physician, recently joined the medical staff of Northwest Health, practicing Northwest Family Care Rogers. He received his medical education at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and completed his family medicine internship at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences South Central in Pine Bluff.
