The Steel Woods, along with The Great Whiskey Rendezvous, will perform at 8:30 p.m. today at Stickyz Rock 'n' Roll Chicken Shack in Little Rock. Admission is $12.

Ha Ha Tonka will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $10 in advance, $13 the day of the show.

Ha Ha Tonka, which was formed in 2005 in West Plains, Mo., and is now based in Springfield, Mo., takes its name from a Missouri state park near the Lake of the Ozarks. In 2007, the band released its debut CD, Buckle in the Bible Belt, on noted roots rock label Bloodshot Records, following that with Novel Sounds of the Nouveau South two years later, along with Death of a Decade in 2011, Lessons in 2013 and Heart-Shaped Mountain in 2017.

Calliope Musicals will perform at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $8.

"The Roots of American Music Concert" will feature Danny Dozier, Tim Crouch, Irl Hees, Ken Loggains and Gary Gazaway at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Ron Robinson Theater in Little Rock. Admission is $10.

The five musicians will perform country, blues, swing and pop music through songs by a variety of artists including Jimmy Driftwood, Grandpa Jones, Merle Travis, Bob Wills, Bill Monroe, Nat "King" Cole, Stevie Wonder, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Robert Johnson and The Beatles.

Dozier, a Batesville area guitarist who played on occasion with the late Arkansas legend Levon Helm, assembled the "Roots of American Music Concert" earlier this year and performed it in Batesville. Hees plays bass, Crouch plays fiddle and Loggains plays drums. Gazaway, a native of Pocahontas who was not part of the earlier show, plays trumpet.

The event is part of the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies' Arkansas Sounds music series.

Country singer Justin Moore will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Bank of the Ozarks Arena in Hot Springs. Admission is free.

Moore, a native of Poyen in Hot Spring County, still lives with his family in the Poyen area. He has released four albums since his 2009 debut and in 2014 he was named new artist of the year by the Academy of Country Music.

The event is part of the 2018 Fishing League Worldwide Forrest Wood Cup.
