The original movie Pearls in Paradise will premiere at 8 p.m. Saturday as part of the Hallmark Channel's "Summer Nights" programming. Shot on location in Fiji, the movie stars Jill Wagner (Teen Wolf) and Kristoffer Polaha (Ballers).
Wagner plays magazine photographer Alex Anderson and Polaha plays author Colin Page, who both head to Fiji in search of the elusive blue pearl that Page wrote about in his novel Pearl in Paradise. At stake for Anderson is a creative director position if she can photograph the pearl for the magazine's 30th anniversary issue. For Page it's a matter of writing a guest article about the long-lost gem with the hope that it will increase sales of his other books and keep him from losing his publisher.
As they head off on their quest, the two realize they may find love, which could be the best adventure of all.
