BENTONVILLE -- Police arrested Damon Christian Vargas, 21, of Bella Vista in connection with aggravated robbery of a bank Friday, Bentonville police spokesman said.
Police responded to a robbery at 4:36 p.m. Friday of the Bank of the Ozarks at 405 S.W. 14th St, spokesman Gene Page said. The suspect had fled from the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police identified Vargas by the interior bank camera and arrested him later that night, Page said.
Benton County Sheriff's Office and Bella Vista Police assisted during the investigation, he said.
Vargas was being held Saturday at the Benton County Jail on $250,000 bond.
