RBG screenings

The Clinton Presidential Center, 1200 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock, will screen RBG, the documentary about U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, in the Great Hall, 6 p.m. today and 2 p.m. Sunday. Doors open a half hour before each screening; admission to both is free. Light refreshments will be sold. The screenings are makeups for those canceled for June 28 and July 1. War correspondence

Mike Polston, a historian for the Encyclopedia of Arkansas History, will deliver a lecture titled "Home or Hell by Christmas: The Arkansas Great War Letters Project," 6 p.m. today at the Delta Cultural Center, 141 Cherry St., Helena-West Helena. Polston will focus on the correspondence of soldiers from the Arkansas Delta, much of which was published in their hometown newspapers, from 1917-19. Admission is free. 'Language of Silver'

"Photographic Images: In the Language of Silver," an exhibit of 36 photo images by 10 members of the Blue-Eyed Knocker Photo Club on silver gelatin paper, opens with an Argenta Artwalk reception (with food and beverages and with the artists in attendance), 5-8 p.m. Friday at the William F. Laman Library Argenta Branch, 420 Main St., North Little Rock.

Photographers Rachel Worthen, Adrienne Taylor, Lily Ryall, Adams Pryor, Jon Hodges, Rita Henry, Susan Crisp, Ann Bryan, Cindy Adams and Darrell Adams produced images including Halloween decorations, a classic floral still-life, an Italian barber shop, a woman applying mascara, a scene of knotted trees and a dog nervously watching passersby on a busy sidewalk.

The exhibit runs through Sept. 15. Admission to the reception and gallery are free. Library hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. Call (501) 472-7292.

Screening student films

Hempstead melodies

Area songwriters will compete to create and perform an original song about some aspect of Hempstead County for "Music in the Park 2018: Hempstead County Melodies," 7:30 p.m. Saturday, on the grounds of the 1874 Courthouse, Historic Washington State Park, 103 Franklin St., Washington. Judges will award $1,000 in total prizes to the top three songs. More information and applications for the contest are available online at bit.ly/hwspmusicinthepark2018. Local Hempstead County band Bluegrass Reunion will conclude the show, which wraps up the park's annual summer concert series. Admission is free. Take lawn chairs and/or blankets. Ballet collaboration

In a new collaboration between Ballet Arkansas and the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College School of Fine Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, Michael Fothergill, executive and artistic director of Ballet Arkansas, will teach a newly created three-credit-hour class titled "Let's Get Moving: A Stimulating Introduction to the Fundamentals and History of Dance Performance and Dance Making," covering the history of dance and introduce basic principles of dance movement and choreography, on the college's main campus in North Little Rock.

And Erin Anson Ellis, the ballet company's general manager, will assist in teaching an existing Stagecraft/Lighting Technology class and serve as production consultant for the college's theater department productions.

Ballet Arkansas will also provide teaching staff during the college's summer CHARTS Academy for teenagers and plans to develop fall and spring internships for Pulaski Tech students in several areas, including technical theater, business and marketing.

Ballet Arkansas will stage five 2018-19 performances in the CHARTS theater:

• Oct. 19-21: The world premiere of Dracula

• Feb. 14-17: Fire & Rain (dance concert)

• Feb. 17: Mary Poppins (children's show)

• May 3-5: Forte (dance concert)

• May 5: The Ugly Duckling (children's show)
