RibCrib opens in Centerton

RibCrib recently opened at 1801 E. Centerton Blvd. in Centerton. The full-service restaurant has a full bar and is open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Bret Chandler founded RibCrib in 1992 in Tulsa, Okla. RibCrib now has 61 locations in eight states.

Arvest ends SBA fiscal year as loan leader

Arvest Bank was a leading U.S. Small Business Administration loan producer in the group's fiscal year that ended Sept. 30.

The bank was No. 1 in Arkansas for a fifth consecutive year in the number of 7(a) loan approvals. Arvest made 64 such loans, totaling more than $27.2 million.

Small Business Administration 7(a) loans are its primary means for helping startup and existing small businesses deal with a variety of general business purposes.

Two Friends Books pops up

Two Friends Books opened its third pop-up store at Airship Coffee, 1000 S.E. Fifth St., Suite A, Bentonville. The new and used bookstore will be open until Dec. 16 during the coffee shop's normal hours, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

The store will host letter-writing parties at 5 p.m. Wednesdays; and, in partnership with Fayetteville-based Open Mouth Reading Series, a poetry-writing workshop on Dec. 13 and readings by Ruth Williams and Marcus Myers on Dec. 2, and GennaRose Nethercott on Dec 10.
