MEN'S BASKETBALL

Harding edges Ouachita Baptist

Sophomore Romen Martin scored 19 of his 21 points in the second half to lead Harding University to an 86-84 victory over Ouachita Baptist University on Saturday in Arkadelphia.

Gabriel Divic made two free throws to tie the game at 76-76 with 4:28 left, then gave Harding (5-4, 3-1 Great American Conference) its first lead of the second half with a layup at the 4:06 mark.

After OBU's Mahlon Martin hit a three-pointer to give the Tigers the lead back before Adam Horn made a layup at 2:31 to give Harding an 80-79 lead.

Martin scored 15 points to lead OBU (4-4, 1-3).

UAM drubs Henderson State

KJ Lesure had 17 points, and Keelin Jackson added 12 points and 10 rebounds to pace the University of Arkansas at Monticello to a 75-58 victory over Henderson State on Saturday in Arkadelphia.

Jordan Embry also had 12 points for UAM (6-3, 3-1 Great American Conference).

Eric Dailey paced Henderson State (7-3, 2-2) with 16 points, and Mike Fofana added 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Arkansas Tech falls in Texas

R.J. Glasper turned in a 21-point, seven-assist performance, but Arkansas Tech University (2-8) was unable to overcome the rebounding and opportune free-throw shooting of Texas A&M-Kingsville (4-5) in an 80-70 loss Saturday at McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas.

Lyon loses to Missouri Baptist

Eric Moses finished with a game-high 22 points and grabbed 7 rebounds to lead Lyon College (5-4) in a 62-56 loss to Missouri Baptist in Batesville.

Williams Baptist falls in OT

Briheam Anthony scored 30 points, Dominique Dyes added 24 points and Devante Carolina finished with 23 points as Williams Baptist University fell 109-106 in overtime to William Woods University in Walnut Ridge.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Lampo leads Harding past OBU

Sophomore Kellie Lampo scored 25 points and sophomore Carissa Caples added a career-high 23 as Harding University defeated Ouachita Baptist University 66-45 on Saturday in Arkadelphia.

Peyton Padgett had 13 rebounds, and Amanda Kearney added 7 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for Harding (7-2, 3-1 Great American Conference).

Alivia Huell led OBU (4-5, 2-2) with nine points.

Tidwell paces UAM

Berniezha Tidwell had 20 points and 6 rebounds to power the University of Arkansas at Monticello to a 79-70 victory over Henderson State on Saturday in Arkadelphia.

Chari Swift added 19 points and 7 rebounds, and Mackenzie Johnson had 16 points for UAM (3-5, 2-2 Great American Conference).

Blu Jones had 18 points and Pink Jones had 16 points for Henderson State (7-2, 3-1).

UAFS loses steam late in loss

The University of Arkansas at Fort Smith led Central Oklahoma after three quarters Saturday, but the No. 23-ranked Bronchos shot 78 percent from the field in the fourth quarter and made 10 of 12 free throws to rally for a 64-57 victory in Fort Smith.

Tamera Gulley and Mariah Green each had 11 points for the Lions (3-8).

Lyon crushes Missouri Baptist

Ali Tucker, Katie Turner, Madison Riley, Samantha French and Liz Henderson scored in double figures to lead Lyon College to a 101-62 victory over Missouri Baptist on Saturday in Batesville.

Tucker scored 21 points, Turner 14, Henderson 13, Riley 13 and French 11 for the Scots (8-1).

Samuel leads Williams Baptist

Blessing Samuel scored 16 points and Tia Brazell added 12 points for Williams Baptist (5-4) in a 61-52 loss to William Woods University on Saturday in Walnut Ridge.
