Lessons and carols
Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 310 W. 17th St., Little Rock, will offer its annual Lessons and Carols service, 4 p.m. today. A musical meditation, choral work or congregational hymn follows each passage from the Bible connected to the birth of Jesus. Arkansas Symphony co-concertmaster, violinist Kiril Laskarov, will participate. The program includes music by Paul Mealor, Carl Rutti, Alan Bullard, Benjamin Britten, Peter Warlock and Morten Lauridsen, plus carols of the season. Admission is free. The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program's "Walks Through History" program, free guided walking tours of historic structures and districts across Arkansas for 2019 will include (11 a.m. Saturdays, admission is free):
