A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Monday morning in downtown Little Rock, police said.

Officers responded about 11 a.m. to the intersection of West Sixth Street and Broadway, according to Police Department spokesman Lt. Michael Ford.

When they arrived, officers found a woman lying on the ground, authorities said. She appeared to have been struck during a two-vehicle wreck, Ford said.

The woman was transported to a nearby hospital, where she died from her injuries hours later. Her name had not been released as of Monday.
