— More details were released Tuesday about Arkansas' spring football game.

According to the Southeastern Conference, the Razorbacks' April 7 scrimmage at Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium will begin at 1 p.m. and will be televised on SEC Network.

Arkansas' scrimmage is one of three that day in the SEC. It will be played at the same time as Ole Miss' spring game on ESPNU and ahead of Auburn's spring game on SEC Network. Only South Carolina (March 31) will play an earlier spring game among SEC teams.

Four SEC teams will play spring games on the weekend of April 13-14 and five teams will play spring games April 21. Vanderbilt has elected not to play a spring game.

The Razorbacks are scheduled to begin their 15-practice spring season on March 1. The spring season will conclude two days following the spring game.

Arkansas received a waiver last month to play a spring game off-campus for the first time since 1989. Construction to the north end of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium and allowing easier access to fans in the central part of the state were cited as reasons for the one-time move.

The spring practices will be Arkansas' first under new head coach Chad Morris, who was hired from SMU in December to replace Bret Bielema, who was fired after a 4-8 overall, 1-7 SEC campaign in 2017.
