Goose will perform for "Mardi Gras in Arkansas" at 9 p.m. Friday at the Rev Room in Little Rock. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 the day of the show. The event is a benefit for the Boys and Girls Club of Central Arkansas.

Brandy Clark, along with opening act Rick Brantley, will perform at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $15 in advance, $15 the day of the show.

Clark, a country singer-songwriter, began her career writing songs that were hits for other artists, including Kacey Musgraves, The Band Perry, Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert and Darius Rucker. She released her debut album 12 Stories in October 2013. She followed up with Big Day in a Small Town in June 2016 and Live From Los Angeles in April.

The Arkansas Times' annual Musicians' Showcase continues its month of competition at 8 p.m. today with Round 2 at Stickyz Rock 'n' Roll Chicken Shack in Little Rock. Admission is $5; $8 for those under age 21.

The second group of competitors is: Ten Penny Gypsy, Redefined Reflection, Jamie Lou & The Hullabaloos, Yuni Wa and the Couch Jackets.

Bands will perform each Thursday night in February, with the winners from each week's rounds facing off March 9.

Jesse Dayton will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $8.

Dayton is an Austin, Texas-based guitarist known for his work with Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, The Supersuckers, John Doe and Rob Zombie. He released his first solo album, Raisin' Cain, in 1995, and has since released 10 more, including Jesse Sings Kinky, a collection of Kinky Friedman songs, tied to Dayton's depiction of Friedman in a stage production, Becoming Kinky: The World According to Kinky Friedman.
