20-year-old Arkansan charged with capital murder in case of man found dead in car

A 20-year-old Arkansan faces a capital murder charge in the death of a man found fatally shot in a car in November, court records filed Tuesday show.

Deondrick Clark of Grady is accused of killing Willie Oglesby Jr., 29, in Pine Bluff on Nov. 8.

Authorities discovered Oglesby with multiple gunshot wounds in a Dodge Charger that was stopped in the road in the 1700 block of West 29th Avenue, which is near South Cedar Street.

Clark was arrested in December after a witness told police he saw someone pull up beside Oglesby's car and start shooting from their vehicle, according to a probable cause affidavit. Investigators traced the car as well as the gun used to Clark, police wrote.

The 20-year-old also faces seven counts of terroristic act and a charge of theft by receiving a firearm, records show. He is scheduled to appear in court March 7.
