Jakahair Howell's single down the left-field line in the 10th inning scored Logan Huneycutt with the go-ahead run in Ouachita Baptist University's 5-4 victory over Lyon College on Tuesday in Arkadelphia.
The hit capped a four-run rally in the 10th inning. Tyler Riebock singled through the right side to score Kyle Alexander to make it 4-2. Three batters later, Aaron Studdard doubled down the right-field line to score Victor Draijer and Riebock to tie the game 4-4.
Lyon College broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the 10th when Tucker Harris singled through the left side to Kyle West to make it 2-1. Three batters later Tristan Buschow doubled to left-center to score Colton Kooser to make it 3-1. Logan Reddick followed with a single to score Buschow to make it 4-1.
Kaden Tollett (1-0) picked up the victory for Ouachita Baptist (3-6) by pitching the final third of an inning. Brock Beacham (0-1) took the loss for Lyon (3-5), allowing 4 runs in the 10th on 5 hits.
