Police investigating after video of one-sided fight between Arkansas high school students goes viral

Police are investigating after a video of a one-sided fight between two Arkansas high school students drew attention and anger on social media.

The cellphone video, which was shared on multiple Facebook, Twitter and Youtube accounts, shows one male student wrestling a much smaller student to the ground, then punching him in the head repeatedly. At one point, the attacker picks him up and throws him back down.

Several other people can be seen watching or filming the fight, with some laughing.

"You are getting your a** beat!" one spectator is heard saying.

The smaller student eventually gets up and draws his fists, but the other tackles him down again, punching and kicking him in the face until he is unconscious.

"He's out," someone says.

It's unclear who took the original video or when the fight happened. The video does not show how the fight started. One Twitter posting of the video had topped 90,000 views as of midday Wednesday.

The Booneville School District said in a statement that both students attend Booneville High School but the fight did not happen on school grounds.

The parents of both students have been notified, and the fight is "being investigated by the proper authorities," the school district wrote on its website.

Booneville police are investigating, a spokesman said Wednesday.
