At meeting, Central Arkansas Water board picks new commissioner, raises CEO's salary

The Central Arkansas Water Board of Commissioners has selected the former executive director of Metroplan to fill a vacant seat.

Jim McKenzie, who formerly led the regional transportation planning agency, will serve the remainder of commissioner John Braune’s term. Braune resigned. The term runs through 2020.

The board made the decision Thursday evening after an executive session.

The board also voted Thursday to increase the salary of Central Arkansas Water’s chief executive officer by 2 percent, retroactive to the first of the year.
