Man found slain in Little Rock apartment; killing is city's 4th homicide of year

A shooting at an apartment complex in southwest Little Rock left one man dead Thursday evening.

Officers were called about 7:50 p.m. to the Eagle Nest Apartments on a report of a shooting, according to Lt. Michael Ford, a department spokesman.

Officers found a man dead inside an apartment, he said. He had been shot several times.

Ford said it's still early in the investigation, but he said the killing "may possibly be drug related."

He said he did not know if anybody else was in the apartment when authorities arrived.

The slaying is Little Rock's fourth homicide of 2018.
