StoppClipp

What's to love: A quick-to-install door stop that simply clips over the top of a door.

What does it do: This door stop is useful when there is no place to install a stop on a baseboard or if you just want a quick remedy to keep a door knob from denting the drywall. The company says it can also be reversed and placed so that the stopper is on the outside of the door to keep from closing -- useful as a pinch guard for little fingers on doors that close on their own. The stop clips are made in the USA and come two to a package, which sells for $9.99. More information available a stoppclipp.com.

FixnZip

What's to love: Enables the user to fix broken zippers on clothes, sleeping bags, backpacks and many other zippered items.

What does it do: FixnZip replaces the slider -- the part with a tab that the user pulls on to open or close the zipper. The sliders are available in different sizes and finishes to fit a variety of zippers, including teeth or coil zippers, metal or plastic. and open or closed end zippers. Instructions, helpful videos and a size guide are found on the website fixnzip.com but basically, the replacement slider has a small screw that loosens to allow the slider to fit over the zipper track. Once in place and tightened the slider clamps down on the zipper and moving it up or down brings the two sides together thereby repairing the zipper. FixnZip sells for $10.99.
