2 vendors set to leave food hall in Little Rock's River Market

Two food vendors at Ottenheimer Market Hall in Little Rock’s River Market are set to leave.

In an emailed statement, Omar Kassees of Mason’s Grill and Rivershore Eatery said the businesses' current locations will be shuttered soon. An exact closing date wasn’t known.

Efforts are ongoing to relocate the eateries, he added.

Diana Long, director of River Market operations at the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau, said the tenure of the 10-year-old vendors came to an end because of nonpayment of rent multiple times during their lease term.

Kassees, meanwhile, said the departure came because of “constant harassment” from the city of Little Rock as well as the visitors bureau.

Kassees said the bureau, which operates the food vendor hall, also failed to appropriately address building issues that resulted in ruined products and a lingering smell.

Long denied the accusations, adding: “That’s just not true."

Other current food offerings include Bangkok Thai Cuisine, Big on Tokyo, Bea Blessed Bakery, Indian Feast, Jay’s Pizza, Katmandu Mo Mo and Old Mill Bread & Flour Co.
