An Arkansan is accused of sending a sexually explicit picture via Facebook Messenger to a girl he believed to be 13 years old, authorities said Monday.

A tip received Feb. 6 by the Boone County sheriff's office eventually led to the Wednesday arrest of Steven William Bell, 58, according to a news release from the agency.

Investigators found that Bell had contacted several juvenile females on Facebook and began "speaking sexually" to one of them, the release states.

Bell is charged with Internet stalking of a child, tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia, records show. As of Tuesday evening, he was being held at the Boone County jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
