A screening of a 1964 documentary on the Little Rock Nine will be shown today at the Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site.
Afterward, Jefferson Thomas Jr. will talk about his father, Jefferson Thomas Sr., who died in 2010 in Columbus, Ohio. The older Thomas -- a member of the Little Rock Nine in 1957 -- narrated the documentary. The film won an Academy Award for documentary, short subject, in 1965.
The documentary, Nine From Little Rock, will be shown at 5 p.m. at the Historic Site, 2120 Daisy L. Gatson Bates Drive, diagonally across from Little Rock Central High.
