Police have arrested a man accused of forcing a colleague to travel from a home to a Little Rock ATM, where he was reportedly ordered to withdraw hundreds of dollars.
Marcus Lacy, 47, of Little Rock was arrested around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on charges of aggravated robbery, kidnapping and theft of property, records show.
The 59-year-old victim told police that of his two co-workers at staffing agency Labor Finders — Lacy and an accomplice — showed up at a house in the 7000 block of Fairfield Drive around 2 p.m. Jan. 28 and knocked on his front and side doors.
The pair brandished handguns at the victim as they were let inside the home and forced him to travel to Regions Bank, 6101 Baseline Road, police said.
There, the victim was forced to withdraw $800, according to the report. The pair then drove him back to his residence and threatened to “blast” him if he said anything, an officer noted.
Police say the 59-year-old had told co-workers that his wife had recently died and that he had her life insurance policy tied to his bank account.
An officer later spoke with the manager at Labor Finders, who said the victim and two robbers had spent time together, were his colleagues and were believed to have been roommates.
Lacy remained at the Pulaski County jail as of Wednesday afternoon in lieu of $50,000 bond, according to an online inmate roster.
A 48-year-old suspect was also named, though he was not listed in the jail's records.
