2 Arkansas students arrested over school threats

Two students in Arkansas, including one who had a "death list," have been arrested after making threats online to cause violence, authorities said.

In Conway, police arrested a 15-year-old student after a threat was made via Snapchat to shoot up Conway Junior High School.

The Conway Police Department on Monday night became aware of a social media post regarding a junior high student threatening to carry a shotgun to school. According to a statement, the 15-year-old mentioned shooting a particular student "and Mexicans."

Also Monday, the Garland County sheriff's office was notified by the Mountain Pine School District of a possible threat from a high school student.

A "death list" was being circulated on social media by the student, according to a news release. That list was later found in the student's backpack by a school official, authorities reported.

The sheriff said the student was arrested and faces a charge of first-degree terroristic threatening.
