An investigation in Arkansas led to the arrest of an Oklahoma man and the seizure of nearly 3 pounds of meth and $4,300 in cash, authorities said.

The Sebastian County sheriff’s office, Fort Smith Police Department, Greenwood Police Department and Arkansas State Police joined forces to probe the distribution of methamphetamine in the area, according to a news releases.

Their investigation led to the arrest of 39-year-old Zephyran Hayes of Muldrow, Okla., on Tuesday, the release states. Scales, baggies, a vehicle, 2.8 pounds of meth and $4,300 in cash were reportedly seized.

Hayes faces charges of trafficking a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a schedule I/II narcotic, possession with

intent to deliver a schedule VI narcotic (marijuana), possession of drug Paraphernalia and maintaining a premise for narcotic sales, authorities said.

According to the news release, he is also wanted out of Sequoyah County, Okla., on drug-related charges.
