VIDEOS: Deer crashes through residence hall window at Arkansas college

One Arkansas college campus had an unexpected visitor Monday, officials said.

Security footage from Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge shows a buck crashing through the front window of one of the campus's residence halls.

Students saw the deer sprinting onto campus as if he had been spooked, school spokesman Brett Cooper said. No one was in the lobby when the window shattered.

The maintenance director threw a blanket over the buck to calm him down, then took him outside until responders from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission arrived, according to Cooper.

The deer's head and shoulder were scratched from the glass, but he recovered well enough to make a "hasty retreat" into the woods nearby, the spokesman said.
