SPRINGDALE -- Maintenanceon three Interstate 49 bridges and overpasses in Johnson and Springdale requires night lane closings, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation officials.
Beginning tonight, crews will work on bridges and overpasses at Clear Creek, south of Exit 69, Johnson Mill Boulevard, Exit 69, and Sunset Avenue, Exit 72. The inside and center lanes will be closed for the work. The northbound lanes will be closed first, and once the work is completed, crews will close the southbound lanes.
Weather permitting, the overnight closings will be in effect tonight through Saturday morning. Traffic will be controlled using signs and barrels.
• Northbound I-49 lane closings will occur between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
• Southbound I-49 lane closings will occur between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.
