UA's Modica honored as SEC Legend

FAYETTEVILLE -- Jonathan Modica, a Smackover native who ranks 12th on the Arkansas Razorbacks' all-time scoring list with 1,589 points from 2002-2006, will be honored as UA's SEC Legend, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Modica was on the SEC All-Freshman team and twice was a second team All-SEC pick.

John Brady, a former coach at Arkansas State University, is being honored as LSU's SEC Legend. Rob Evans, a former assistant coach at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, is Ole Miss' SEC Legend.

In addition to Modica, Brady and Evans, the SEC Legends are James Robinson (Alabama), Joel Eaves (Auburn), David Lee (Florida), Chad Kessler (Georgia), Joe Crawford (Kentucky), Ray White (Mississippi State), Doug Smith (Missouri), Carey Rich (South Carolina), Howard Wood (Tennessee), Barry Davis (Texas A&M) and Godfrey Dillard (Vanderbilt).

Each SEC Legend will be recognized at halftime of his school's first game at the SEC Tournament in St Louis from March 7-11.
