Walk for Wheezy

CABOT — The 2018 Walk for Wheezy event, which benefits Arkansas Children’s Hospital, will take place at Panther Stadium. The walk is in memory of Eloise “Wheezy” Shaw, who died Jan. 7, 2016, at the age of 10 after battling a heart defect. Polar Plunge

HORSESHOE BEND — Polar Plunge, a fundraiser hosted by Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Arkansas, will take place at Crown Lake in Horseshoe Bend at Boxhound Marina. Individuals and teams will take the plunge into various bodies of water, typically cold water. Registration will begin at 11 a.m., with the plunge at noon. The minimum donation to plunge is $50. Ladies’ Luncheon and Fashion Show

Art Exhibit

ASH FLAT — The Ash Flat Library is displaying the artwork of Rosetta Ramsey, a senior at Highland High School. She has had her artwork placed in multiple high-school-level shows, winning awards and selling some of her pieces. She has also worked on multiple stage sets for high school plays. Ramsey achieved a passing score in her junior year for her Advanced Placement Art portfolio. Her newest concentration is labeled Things in My Car. Photography Exhibit

BEEBE — The Arkansas State University-Beebe Art Department is featuring the photography of Ian Campbell during February at the England Center Art Gallery in an exhibit called Dark Water, which is based on a “sea serpent” sighting in 1817 at Gloucester Harbor in Massachusetts. Campbell is an assistant professor of art at Lyon College in Batesville and serves as director of the Kresge Art Gallery at Lyon. Painting With Jim

Silver&Fit Program

BATESVILLE — The Batesville Community Center and Aquatics Park is participating in the Silver&Fit program’s network of fitness facilities, which allows the center and aquatics park to provide no-cost membership access to Silver&Fit members. Free Chair Yoga Classes
