— Arkansas receiver target TQ Jackson left Saturday’s visit to Arkansas feeling good about the Hogs.

“The visit was absolutely great,” Jackson said. “I liked the interaction with all of the staff, and I like what they are trying to build.”

Jackson, 6-3, 185, 4.47 seconds in the 40-yard dash, of Jefferson, Texas, has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Minnesota, Arkansas State, Houston, SMU, Texas Tech and others. He said the highlight of the trip was having pictures of him wearing the Razorback uniforms.

He tweeted out a photo of he and highly recruited receiver Dylan Wright posing in Arkansas uniforms.

“He’s a cool dude,” Jackson said of Wright. “I met him last year at a camp and since then we've been cool. A dawg recognizes another dawg, so it’s easy to be cool with him.”

Jackson recorded 40 receptions for 938 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior and 41 catches for 1,099 yards and 11 touchdowns as a sophomore. He said the trip to Fayetteville increased the Hogs’ odds of landing him.

“Made their chances a lot better with me,” he said.

Arkansas associate head coach and running backs coach Jeff Traylor is recruiting Jackson.

“Me and Coach Traylor met last year when he was with SMU,” Jackson said. “Every since then he was been keeping in touch with me. He’s a great guy, honestly.”

Jackson plans to coach once his playing days are over.

“I feel like I could be a great coach one day,” Jackson said. “By the time that comes, I’ll know the ins and outs of the game, and I’ll know what it’s like to be a player as well. I socialize well, and I’m vocal also.”
