Arkansas cadets and midshipmen home for winter break enjoyed a festive evening in their honor Dec. 29 hosted by the Arkansas U.S. Air Force Academy Parents Association. The annual All Service Academies Holiday Celebration was held at the Clinton Presidential Center.

The young men and women are attending one of the nation's five service academies: The Air Force Academy, United States Military Academy, United States Naval Academy, United States Coast Guard Academy and the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

The evening began with a cocktail hour followed by a presentation of the cadets and midshipmen, the national anthem, and a remembrance of America's prisoners of war and those missing in action. The program also included guest speaker retired Air Force Col. Rob Ator, who was recently named the Arkansas Economic Development Commission's director of military affairs..

After a dinner of cold smoked rib-eye with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, guests enjoyed a tribute video to the class of 2018.
