Pushed to ground, carjacked outside Little Rock grocery store, 68-year-old tells police

A 68-year-old woman was thrown to the ground by an attacker who stole her vehicle and purse outside a Little Rock grocery store Friday, she told police.

The victim said she parked her minivan outside Shoppers Value Foods, 6800 Colonel Glenn Road, about 1:30 p.m. to take off her jacket when a male stranger grabbed her from behind.

The woman's white 2007 Buick Terraza was taken as well as her cellphone and purse containing three credit cards and $400 in cash, according to the police report.

The 68-year-old had road rash on her left elbow that was bleeding, officers noted.

Police have named no suspects, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report, though the report stated that the stolen phone was tracked to the area of Asher Avenue and Brown Street.
