Police: 1 driver fires shot after fender bender in drive-thru of west Little Rock liquor store

A fender bender in the drive-thru of a west Little Rock liquor store Saturday night ended with one driver pulling out a gun and firing a shot as he left, police said.

According to a report from the city's Police Department, the 27-year-old victim said he was in line at Bowman Beverage Shop, 11921 Kanis Road, when his vehicle was bumped from behinds shortly before 9 p.m.

The Maumelle resident told officers that he stepped to see if there was damage and "confronted" the other driver. That's when the assailant pulled out a handgun and said, “I did not touch your d*** car,” the report states. Police said the driver fired a shot as he fled.

The victim told police he was unsure if the shot was fired in the air or directed toward him.

The gunman was described as being white, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 280 pounds. He was reportedly in a bronze Nissan Murano.

No suspects were named, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.
