A shooting near the intersection of 31st and Harrison streets Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2018, injured two people, police said.

Four people were injured in three separate shootings in Little Rock on Tuesday, police said.

Officers first responded to a home in the 2400 block of South Park Street shortly before 7:30 p.m., according to a report from the department.

There, 38-year-old Issac Tate told authorities he fled to that location after being shot in the leg at a house in the 1700 block of South Pulaski Street. Tate was transported to UAMS Medical Center for injuries that were not life-threatening, the report stated.

Members of the Little Rock Police Department's SWAT team were called out to the South Pulaski Street address, with most arriving in full body gear, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported.

The SWAT situation ended after authorities decided they did not have enough evidence to enter the residence, police spokesman Lt. Michael Ford told reporters Tuesday night.

Police named a suspect in the report, but he was not listed on the Pulaski County jail's online inmate roster as of Wednesday morning.

About 10 p.m., authorities were called to the area of West 31st and Harrison Streets after several residents said they heard shots, according to another police report. One witness told officers then he heard shots then saw a male running away.

Investigators noted two shell casings were recovered outside a home in the 5200 block of West 31st Street. The two people injured in that shooting were reportedly taken to two different Little Rock hospitals.

At CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, 26-year-old Jared Montez told police he went to meet a 16-year-old girl at the West 31st Street home.

When he was outside the residence, Montez said, a gunman came out from behind the house and began firing. Montez drove himself to the hospital, he told police. The 26-year-old was wounded in his upper torso, and his injuries required surgery, authorities wrote.

The 16-year-old told officers she was walking to a store on Asher Avenue when she heard gunfire. She started running away, then realized she was bleeding from her side and began flagging down cars until she got a ride to UAMS Medical Center, according to the report.

The teen was later released from the hospital, police said.

Shortly before midnight, officers again responded to CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, where 18-year-old Tyreke Kennard said he was shot in the back on South Pierce Street about 7 p.m.

Kennard told police he was approached by a stranger near the stop sign but could not understand what the individual was saying. Then, the assailant put a handgun in the teen’s face and took $175 in cash from his pockets, Kennard said.

The 18-year-old told authorities that he pointed into the air to distract the gunman, but as he turned his back to run away, two shots were fired. One bullet reportedly grazed his right shoulder blade. He told officers he did not see which way the shooter fled.

The report states that Kennard then went back to a home in the 1600 block of South Pierce Street and had his girlfriend take him to the hospital.

Police named no suspects in the West 31st Street and South Pierce Street shootings, and no arrests had been made at the time of any of the reports.
