Police have arrested a man after a woman was shot in the buttocks earlier this week outside a Little Rock house.

Stephen Caster, 49, of Little Rock was arrested around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday on charges of first-degree battery and possession of firearm by a certain person.

Around 9 a.m. Monday, officers responded to CHI St. Vincent Infirmary in reference to a shooting victim, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

There, police found 40-year-old Roshonda Marbley of Little Rock with a gunshot wound to her buttocks, the report said. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Marbley had been shot around 8 a.m. that day at a residence in the 7800 block of Preston Drive, according to authorities.

Police said Marbley told investigators the shooting stemmed from an argument over mechanical work on her vehicle.

Three shootings were recorded Monday in Arkansas’ capital city, including Little Rock’s first confirmed homicide of the year. It wasn't clear if any of the cases were related.

Records show Caster remained at the Pulaski County jail as of Wednesday morning, and bail had not yet been set.
