A woman is accused of striking a worker as she tried to flee a North Little Rock crafts store with stolen merchandise, police said.

Brandy Kendrick, 31, of Mabelvale was arrested around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. She faces charges of robbery, fleeing, drug paraphernalia and refusal to submit.

An officer responded that night to Hobby Lobby at 4701 John F. Kennedy Blvd., according to a North Little Rock Police Department report.

Kendrick is accused of concealing merchandise in her purse and striking a cashier while attempting to flee the store, police said.

As authorities arrived, a store manager pointed to an SUV in the Hobby Lobby parking lot that Kendrick had crouched behind, the report states.

Police said she tried to run but was eventually arrested at the business.

Records show Kendrick remained at the Pulaski County jail as of Thursday morning, and her bail has been set at $10,000.
