Little Rock's eviction notices at homeless camps draw criticism

Advocates for homeless people are complaining about Little Rock’s continued eviction notices at homeless camps.

The city issued a written response to the critics Friday, saying the eviction notices are in response to complaints about the camp sites.

Aaron Reddin, co-chairman of the Arkansas Homeless Coalition and founder of the nonprofit organization The Van, wrote on Facebook that the city’s eviction of the homeless people during cold weather is “sick.”

Little Rock officials said they will work with anyone living at the camps to get them into shelters.
