Raped, robbed at downtown bus station, teen tells Little Rock police

A teenager was raped and robbed at gunpoint by two attackers at Little Rock's downtown bus station Thursday evening, he told police.

The 18-year-old said he was using the restroom at 310 E. Capitol Ave., the listed address for River Cities Travel Center, about 6 p.m. when the two pepole walked in and locked the door.

One of them pointed what looked like a handgun at him, the victim told officers. Then the pair tackled him to the floor and forced him to perform a sex act on them, according to the report.

The attackers took his cellphone and a $50 debit card and threatened to kill him if he told anyone what happened, the teen told authorities.

Police have named no suspects, and no arrests had been made at the time of the report.

Becca Green, a spokeswoman for Rock Region Metro, the agency that operates the bus station, said the center is usually busy around that time, but a review of the security footage did not show three men in the bathroom together.

Nothing was reported to an off-duty officer who provided security at the bus station until 8 p.m. Thursday, according to the spokeswoman.

Green added that the main area of the bathroom does not have a door.
