Two people have been taken into custody after a string of armed robberies in northeast Arkansas, authorities said.

Sunday night, a cashier at Gary's Food Mart, 604 W. Keiser Ave. in Osceola, told officers that she and another employee were getting ready to close the store when two people came in, "[waved] guns in the air" and demanded money, according to an news release from the city's Police Department.

The cashier said she gave the robbers all the money from the cash drawer — about $45 — and they left the business.

After reviewing the store's security footage, a detective identified Stephanie Jaramillo, 18, and a female minor — whose name and age were not released — as suspects, authorities said.

Both were taken into custody by Lake City police after with a robbery in that town, the release states.

Police said that Jamarillo told investigators that after robbing the store in Osceola, she and the minor robbed two gas stations in Blytheville then drove on to Lake City.

She also said the pair tried to rob two other businesses while in Blytheville but found them locked, according to the release.

Jamarillo, a Blytheville resident, faces charges of aggravated robbery and theft. As of Wednesday afternoon, she was being held at the Mississippi County jail in lieu of $150,000 bond.

The juvenile is in custody because of her part in the robbery in Lake City, according to authorities. The Osceola Police Department has warrants out for the minor on aggravated robbery and theft that have not yet been served.
