NLR will be 'Gone Country' with Alan Jackson

Country singer Alan Jackson, on his "Honky Tonk Highway Tour," will perform, along with opening act Lauren Alaina, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Verizon Arena in North Little Rock. Tickets are $129.99, $99.99, $69.99, $49.99 and $39.99.

Jackson, who was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2017, has a long list of hit songs, including "Chattahoochee," "Drive," "Gone Country," "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," "Good Time," "Chasin' That Neon Rainbow" and "Don't Rock the Jukebox."

In October, Jackson, 59, released a new song, "The Older I Get," from an album set for release this year.

Opening act Alaina, a Georgia native, was the runner-up on the 10th season of American Idol, and her debut album, Wildflower, came out in 2011, followed by Road Less Traveled in 2017. The 23-year-old recorded a duet with Kane Brown, "What Ifs," and the song reached No. 1.

Colt Ford will perform at 8 p.m. today at Metroplex Live in Little Rock. Admission is $30.

Ford, a former professional golfer, is a country singer, songwriter and rapper. He has released six albums: Ride Through the Country in 2008, Chicken & Biscuits in 2010, Every Chance I Get in 2011, Declaration of Independence in 2012, Thanks for Listening in 2014 and Love Faith Hope on May 5, 2017.

He co-wrote and was the first to record "Dirt Road Anthem" for his first album. The song was later recorded by the song's co-writer, Brantley Gilbert, and then recorded by Jason Aldean.

Jessica Lea Mayfield, along with opening act Sun Seeker, will perform at 8:30 p.m. today at Stickyz Rock 'n' Roll Chicken Shack in Little Rock. Admission is $14.

Mayfield, who began her musical career at age 8 in a family bluegrass band in Ohio, was later discovered by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, who produced her debut major label solo album, With Blasphemy So Heartfelt, in 2008. She has since released three more CDs, the most recent of which, Sorry Is Gone, came out Sept. 29 and chronicles her struggles with domestic abuse.

She has opened shows for The Avett Brothers, Ryan Adams, Cake, Band of Horses, Ray LaMontagne, Jay Farrar and The Black Keys.

William Clark Green will perform at 9 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 the day of the show.

Green, 31, recorded his first album in 2008 while a student at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He has since recorded three more CDs, the most recent of which, Ringling Road, came out in April 2015.

Pallbearer will perform, along with opening acts Sumokem and Adam Faucett, at 8 p.m. Friday at the Rev Room in Little Rock. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 the day of the show.

Pallbearer, a heavy metal band formed by students at the University of Central Arkansas, has released three albums. Now based in Little Rock, the group's latest album, Heartless, came out in 2017. The band won the 2017 Metal Hammer Golden God award for Best Underground Band and Thrllist named it the best band in Arkansas in their Best Bands from Every State category.

Khaki Onion will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $10.

Electric 5 consists of Carter Thomas on vocals, Phillip Thompkins on guitar, Wythe Walker on keyboard and guitar, Adam Thompkins on drums and Bill McCumber on bass. McCumber and Walker have played in several central Arkansas bands, most recently Two Lane Blacktop and The Smittle Band.

Brian & Nick will perform at 5:30 p.m. and Rustenhaven will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5.

Canada spent more than a decade as the lead singer of Cross Canadian Ragweed before leaving to start another band, The Departed. McClure, a frequent collaborator of Canada's, was a member of The Great Divide before leaving to found another group. He has produced many of the "Red Dirt" genre of country music, including Turnpike Troubadours, Whiskey Myers, Stoney LaRue and Jason Boland & the Stragglers.
