What snow?

FOR MANY students in central Arkansas, there will be no make-up day come the summer. There will be no need to. For they don't get snow days any longer.

Every evening, they have become accustomed to taking home small computers--tablets or something--along with their books and backpacks. When the weather is frightful, they can get all their assignments, and who cares if the roads are impassable? Teachers can assign work, grade work, send work back. All from the comfort of home. Whether home is out on the flat, dry, sunny highway or up in the icy hills.

It's good news and bad new for the kids. School's out, but school's in.

We think they'll like it much better when June comes around, and school gets out--for the summer--on time.
