LR officers remove suspect from attic

Police on Thursday arrested a 27-year-old man accused of breaking into a woman's apartment and attacking her with a box cutter.

A Little Rock Police Department tactical unit removed Christopher Williams of Little Rock from an attic and arrested him at a apartment complex at 8223 Scott Hamilton Drive, a police report said.

The report said Williams broke into the woman's apartment, beat her and injured her with a box cutter. Police say he also pointed a gun, choked her and threatened to kill her.

Williams was charged with first-degree domestic battery, theft of property and aggravated robbery.

Kroger worker says gunman stole car

A 27-year-old worker at the Kroger store in Little Rock's Hillcrest neighborhood was robbed of his car at gunpoint in the parking lot late Wednesday, police said.

The victim told police he was sitting in his Dodge Stratus about 11:40 p.m. outside the grocery store at 614 Beechwood St. when a person he didn't know walked up and asked for directions, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

When the victim turned toward the person, the assailant was pointing a handgun at him, the report said. The robber ordered the victim to exit his car and then drove off.
