Arkansas woman accused of fatally stabbing roommate

A woman has been arrested in the fatal stabbing of a 23-year-old man she lived with at a northeast Arkansas home, authorities said.

Keyonna L. Bowlin, 21, of Harrisburg was arrested on a charge of first-degree murder, records show.

The stabbing happened around 5:30 a.m. Thursday in the 800 block of West South Street in Harrisburg, said Lt. Justin Kimble of the city's Police Department.

Around 6 a.m. that day, the Police Department requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police.

Inside the home, authorities found Julian S. Daniels unresponsive with an apparent stab wound, said Bill Sadler, a state police spokesman.

Daniels was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Sadler said. His body was then taken to the state Crime Laboratory for an autopsy.

Once the investigation is finished, a file prepared by state police will be turned over to the Poinsett County prosecuting attorney for consideration of formal charges.

Records show Bowlin remained at the Poinsett County jail as of Friday afternoon. Her bail was set at $250,000.
