Hundreds of abortion opponents gathered before the state capitol Sunday for the 40th annual March for Life.

Pro-life signs dotted the crowd as Republican leaders touted legal wins and reaffirmed their opposition to the landmark Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion in the U.S.

Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge delivered the keynote speech at the event, pledging to continue the legal fight for the rights of the unborn.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson also addressed the crowd and thanked legislators and others for making Arkansas a strong pro-life state.

"Perhaps someday we will not be marching here, but until that happens, lets continue marching," he said, garnering cheers from the crowd.
