JB Hunt makes top 100 list

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc., has been named as a Top 100 Trucker for 2017 by Inbound Logistics, the Lowell-based company announced.

"Receiving this distinction from Inbound Logistics is a testament to J.B. Hunt's quality service and our ability to consistently meet the needs of our shippers and carriers alike," said John Roberts, president and chief executive officer at J.B. Hunt.

According to the magazine, the annual Top 100 Truckers directory provides a comprehensive list of carriers that match the demanding and diverse needs of the shipping community. The 2017 list was comprised from hundreds of trucking companies based on discussions with both shippers and truckers, online research and surveys.

Arvest leads state in SBA loans

Arvest was the No. 1 Small Business Administration lender for the fourth consecutive year in Arkansas based on its number of 7(a) loan approvals. For the Small Business Administration fiscal year ending Sept. 30, Arvest had 63 such loans, totaling $20.6 million.

In Oklahoma, Arvest ranked second among administration lenders with 58 loans totaling $11.1 million. According to the Kansas City District Office, which covers eastern Kansas and western Missouri, Arvest ranked among the top 10 there with 25 loans totaling $8.7 million.

SBA 7(a) loans are its primary means for helping startup and existing small businesses deal with a variety of general business purpose.

Mercy locations change

Mercy Outpatient Therapies has moved some services and providers after the recent integration with Cooper Clinic.

The transition with the former Cooper Outpatient Physical Therapy group has affected two locations in Fort Smith. Physical therapists Lane Carter and Cheryl Maxwell and physical therapy assistants Kristi Williams, Libby McGill and Nita Humphries have moved to 7610 Dallas St. to provide general outpatient physical therapy and adult neurological therapies. This group will continue to provide aquatics, vestibular rehabilitation, oncology rehab, occupational therapy and speech therapy at this location.

Mercy has also moved its lymphedema, pelvic floor, pediatrics therapies and wheelchair evaluations to the fourth floor of the Mercy Tower West Physical Therapy Clinic at 6801 Rogers Ave., the former Cooper Clinic building. Therapists at this location are Chris Capehart, Dianne Hubbard, Dr. Cortney VanMeter, Angel Fisher, Audrey Paladino and Trae Brisendine.

Both clinics will remain under the management of physical therapist Carrie Minor.

Arvest builds in Prairie Grove

Arvest Bank held a groundbreaking ceremony Jan. 11 to celebrate the beginning of a new branch on Heritage Parkway in Prairie Grove.

The full-service bank will sit on 1.7 acres of land facing Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park. It should be finished in mid-year, and Arvest will move from its downtown location to the new site.

The $3 million bank will have 4,240 square feet. Customers will be able to access the bank from three driveways, two from Sundowner Road and one from Heritage Parkway.
