The Lady Wampus Cats (17-1) led 53-31 at the end of the third quarter. But the Lady Tigers went on a 21-2 run and freshman guard Elyse Smith's layup cut the lead to 55-52 with 3:02 remaining.

That was as close as the Lady Tigers would get, as the Lady Wampus Cats finished 9 of 10 from the free-throw line. Sophomore guard Jadah Pickens made four of Conway's nine free throws.

Russellville 43, Farmington 41

Russellville managed to dribble away most of the final seconds and hold on for a road win.

Holding a slim one-point lead with under a minute left, the Cyclones passed the ball around until they were fouled with 17.4 seconds remaining. The Cyclones weren't in the bonus yet, so coach Matt Hall drew up an inbounds play to get it to his best free-throw shooter, fully expecting a quick foul that would send senior guard Javion White to the line. That foul didn't come until there were only 2.2 seconds remaining in the game.

Sophomore guard Kade Shaffer missed the first free throw but drained the second to score what would be the final point of the game, and Farmington senior guard Peyton Maxwell was too strong on a last-second full-court heave to seal the game.

Maxwell finished with 19 points, four assists and two rebounds to lead the Cardinals. Montez poured in 13 points.

FS Southside 51, LR Catholic 49

Getting that first 7A-Central win is always the toughest one. The Mavericks (9-9, 1-3) led by 12 on a Dillon Hamilton layup with 3 minutes, 15 seconds left. But that lead shrunk to 2 with 32 seconds left on a steal and layup by the Rockets' Josh Dawson.

Another Southside turnover gave Catholic a possession to tie or win with 11.8 seconds left. After the Mavs knocked the ball out of bounds with 2.9 seconds left, Southside forced a turnover with less than a second left. The Mavs inbounded the ball to end the game.

Hamilton paced Southside with 15 while Ike Moore scored 12 and Taye Gatewood added 10. Phillips Allison led Catholic with a game-high 17 while Dawson chipped in with 12 and Charles Daniel added 10.

Ozark 63, Paris 48

Brendon Lawson and Ethan Masingale led a strong second-half surge for Ozark to pull away with a road victory Friday night.

Ozark (15-3) needed to score the final four points of the first half to take a 26-23 halftime lead. The Hillbillies then came out of the break to take a 41-29 lead with Lawson and Masingale leading the way.

Lawson finished with a game-high 22 points and Masingale added 19 for Ozark.

The Hillbillies were able to take a 49-35 lead heading into the final quarter and didn't look back.

Pea Ridge 59, Gravette 57 (3OT)

Mikey Mahoney stepped to the line as a hush fell over the Blackhawks' arena. He took a few dribbles, arched his shot, and delivered the final of his 16 points with only two seconds remaining, as Pea Ridge took a three-overtime win.

Mahoney's final free throws ended the seventh overtime period between the two teams this season.

Hayden Holtgrewe led Pea Ridge (17-4, 11-1 3A/4A District 1) with 18 points, including seven in the fourth quarter, as the Blackhawks erased a six-point deficit late.

Deer 58, Western Grove 33

Deer claimed its third win in as many meetings over rival Western Grove this season as the Antlers (23-2) pulled away in the second half of their 2A/1A District 2 game at Deer.

The win gives Deer a two-game lead with three games to play and a sweep over Western Grove, meaning the Antlers need just one win in their last three games to clinch the top seed in the 1A-1 East Conference Tournament next month.

Dylan Smith had 22 points to pace Deer, which outscored Western Grove 14-6 in the third and fourth quarters to blow the game open, while Caden Young added 16. Hunter Baker was the only Warrior in double figures with 13 points.

London was Conway's only player who scored at least 10 points. Terry Clardy chipped in with six points for Conway. AJ Williams led Little Rock Central with nine points and Rajhon McIntosh added eight points.

SEARCY 67, BATESVILLE 52 Peyton Wright scored 24 points as Searcy earned a 6A/5A-2 victory in Batesville. Freddy Hicks added 18 points for the Lions, who led 31-24 at halftime and outscored the Pioneers 21-10 in the third quarter to take control of the game.
